My Story
I grew up the youngest of five, raised by a single mother in poverty. My dad never told me he loved me. For much of my childhood, I blended into the background, believing I was unworthy.
At 21, I left the religion I was raised in. For the next 17 years, I chased validation everywhere outside of myself and God. From the outside, my life looked successful: degrees, awards, a thriving business. Inside, I couldn’t speak up for myself, let alone in a meeting. Public speaking was my biggest fear. I was burned out, frustrated, and depressed, and no achievement could fill what was missing.
That depression is where I met Christ.
On March 16, 2022, I heard God’s voice for the first time. I started seeking the truth, and I found Christ at the center of it. What happened next could only be Him. That same year, I left my corporate job to pursue speaking, coaching, and writing. A year later, the woman whose biggest fear was public speaking walked onto her first stage. The year after that, I stood on the TEDx stage in England.
He wasn’t finished. I last saw my father when I was fourteen. Twenty-seven years later, God prompted me to write him a letter, not to reconcile, but to release. I sealed it. I mailed it. I finally felt free. What I didn’t know was that he had already been gone for months. The letter sat in his mailbox, unopened, never read. The moment I learned the truth, my daughter called me outside. There, in a rainless sky, was a rainbow. In that moment, I realized unforgiveness, the quiet, invisible kind that masquerades as moving on, had been the one thing standing between me and everything God promised. That revelation is now my message.
Christ is the only true source of transformation. So many of us get stuck in our belief systems, like I did, never knowing we were made for more.
Today, I am a follower of Christ with a biblical worldview, and I speak deeply and openly about my faith. I am a mom, speaker, author, and faith-based leader, aligning with my God-given calling and inspiring other leaders to do the same. My purpose is simple: I ignite belief in others so they can act on their potential.
